The basics

What is bike insurance?

Bike insurance protects you against the financial cost of an accident, theft or damage involving your two-wheeler — and against what you legally owe if you injure someone else.

Two-wheeler premiums are small enough that most riders underinsure by default. That is a false economy: a single third-party injury claim can run to many times the lifetime cost of a comprehensive policy.

Third-party cover is mandatory for every two-wheeler on Indian roads under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Why through us

What we do that a price-comparison box does not

Anyone can list premiums. The work is in the terms underneath them — and in who picks up the phone when you claim.

01

Multi-year options

Long-term third-party policies lock in your rate and remove the annual scramble to renew. We show you whether the maths actually works for your bike.

02

Theft cover that pays

Two-wheeler theft is the claim riders make most. We check the insurer's documentation requirements up front so your claim is not rejected on a technicality.

03

Honest add-on advice

Zero depreciation is worth it on a new bike and usually a waste on an eight-year-old commuter. We will tell you which one you are.

04

Renew in under a minute

Registration number in, quotes out, policy in your inbox. No forms you have already filled once.

Types of cover

What each policy type actually pays for

Including — and this is the part usually left off the brochure — what it does not.

Third-Party Liability

Statutory minimum cover for injury, death or property damage caused to another party.

Best for: Older bikes with low resale value.

Covered

  • Unlimited liability for third-party injury or death
  • Third-party property damage up to the statutory limit
  • Legal costs on a covered claim

Not covered

  • Any damage to your own bike
  • Theft of your bike
  • Fire or natural calamity damage to your vehicle

Comprehensive

Third-party cover plus damage to and theft of your own two-wheeler.

Best for: New and mid-life bikes, and anyone parking on the street.

Covered

  • Everything in third-party liability
  • Accidental damage to your own bike
  • Theft, fire and explosion
  • Flood, cyclone, earthquake and other natural events
  • Riot, strike and malicious damage
  • Personal accident cover for the owner-rider

Not covered

  • Wear, tear and mechanical or electrical breakdown
  • Riding without a valid licence or under the influence
  • Damage while used for racing or hire when not declared
  • Depreciation on parts, without a zero-depreciation add-on

Standalone Own-Damage

Own-damage-only cover, bought alongside an in-force long-term third-party policy.

Best for: New bikes sold with a bundled five-year third-party policy.

Covered

  • Accidental damage, theft, fire and natural calamity
  • Annual freedom to switch own-damage insurer

Not covered

  • Third-party liability of any kind
  • Bikes without valid in-force third-party cover
Add-ons

Riders worth paying for — and the ones that are not

Every add-on raises your premium. We will tell you which ones earn their cost against your specific situation.

Zero depreciation

Full value on replaced plastic and fibre parts — which is most of a modern bike's body.

Roadside assistance

Towing, on-spot repair, fuel delivery and flat-tyre support.

Pillion rider cover

Personal accident cover extended to whoever is riding behind you.

Return to invoice

Pays the original invoice value on total loss or theft, not the depreciated IDV.

Consumables cover

Covers engine oil, brake fluid and similar items consumed during a covered repair.

No-claim bonus protection

Keeps your accumulated discount intact after a single claim.

Claims

How a claim actually runs

Written out plainly, because the moment you need this is the worst possible moment to be reading a policy document for the first time.

01

Report it the same day

Intimate the claim through your advisor or the app. Photograph the scene, the damage and the number plate before anything moves.

02

Police report for theft or injury

Theft claims need an FIR and, later, a non-traceable certificate. We give you the checklist so nothing comes back to you a month later.

03

Surveyor assessment

The insurer inspects the bike and approves the repair estimate. Do not start repairs before this — unapproved work is a standard rejection reason.

04

Cashless repair or reimbursement

Network garage settles directly with the insurer, or you claim the bill back. Your advisor tracks it to closure either way.

Third-party cover is mandatory for every two-wheeler used on a public road. Riding without it can mean a fine, prosecution, and full personal liability for any injury you cause.
